Types of Weed (Cannabis) and Strains

Strains of Weed:

Like most plants, cannabis is available in different types, known as strains. In general marijuana strains are distinguished as sativa, indica, or hybrid of these two kinds of plants. More about twd marijuana delivery

Sativa often provides the consumer with uplifting, even a cheerful kind of high.

Indica strains therefore have some calming and relaxing effects.

Hybrid strains are partly sativa and partly indica. Thus most of the modern strains have some sort of hybridity.

Cannabis is available in several forms:

1. Flower

Weed, or marijuana, is the dried leaves and flowers of the Cannabis sativa or indica plant. It possesses a very strong, stench-like smell and is usually taken in with cigarettes, pipes, or bongs made from hands. It can also be taken together with tobacco in a ‘spliff’. Available in most of the legalized states, and different strains, smoking weed is not suitable for people with lung problems. Both hashish and hashish oil are also smoked in the same way as other drugs; It may be cut with herbs such as oregano at times in the black market for the substance.

2. Edibles:

Marijuana edibles entail the use of decarboxylated cannabis in food products such as brownies, cookies, chocolates, or gummies, to make cannabis psychoactive. They are useful for diseases like chronic pain, vomiting/nausea, sleep problems, and diseases of the mind. The first benefit is obviously in the ability to do so and steer clear of the ills of smoking with a longer-enduring experience. But with edibles, the effects, of course, take longer to set in, meaning more chances are given to pop in more than the recommended dosage which leads to side effects such as confusion, discomfort, anxiety, and even vomiting.

3. Concentrates

Cannabis concentrates are produced by pulling out specific parts of cannabis to enhance cannabinoids and terpenes content. These include dry processing, the application of heat, or the application of solvents. The resulting concentrates can occur in the form of liquid, wax, and even solids. They can be used in different methods for example dab which entails the use of vaporized and concentrated profiles. These products contain more cannabis compared to the usual flower forms of the same product.

4. Wax, Shatter, Oils:

  • Shatter: Substance is taken in the form of glasslike concentrate when heated and the smoke is inhaled.
  • Wax: The potency of its smoke in bongs or pipes is like butter that can be easily shaped.
  • Oil: Vape liquid or concentrate, drops under the tongue, in an edible form, or capsules.

5. Capsules:

Swallowed like edibles, capsules come in the form of concentrates, which are usually ingested into the system.

6. Tinctures:

Still low-concentration extract commixed with a vehicle such as alcohol, for sublingual administration or incorporated into foods.

7. Hash:

Hashish or hash is made by compressing cannabis resin into blocks. Most often, it is smoked on its own, but could also be blended with tobacco in pipes or bongs.

8. Distillate:

A distillate is a cannabis oil with very potent THC or CBD that is used in vape cartridges, edibles, and creams. It is slightly less pungent, some users find this economically more favorable. Despite high potency, distillates can be devoid of other cannabinoids to produce the ‘entourage effect’ thereby improving the therapeutic properties. Analyses of various pot extracts indicate that THC and CBD could aid in radiation therapy even though more research is required.
